  • CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE - FIELD SUPPORT

    Location: Bristol

    Every day at SLX our Live Events team co-ordinate and deliver some of the most successful, experiential, corporate and broadcast events around the globe.

    The Customer Service team ensure our customers hire orders meet there given brief, whilst the Warehouse work hard to prepare equipment to a wide range of customer.

    With clients ranging from The Great British Bake Off to the world Tour of The Bodyguard, our passion for Theatre & Live Events spans all manner of productions.

    We are looking for a Customer Services Representative-Field Support person with a confident and outgoing personality, who will enjoy interacting and building strong relationships with customers, is a good negotiator and has experience in decision making.  Using knowledge of industry services and products, our Customer Service Representatives ensure all customers are dealt with professionally and their requirements achieved efficiently and accurately.

    The successful role holder will work closely with the Customer Service, Business Development, Account and Project Managers to ensure delivery of our hire division is market leading and provides a first-class service.

    Having first-hand understanding of industry pressures in either a hire operation or technical environment as well as a strong knowledge and understanding of the equipment SLX stock are essential to this role.

  • WAREHOUSE TECHNICIAN

     

    Location: Bristol

    We are recruiting for a Warehouse Technician to join our Warehouse Logistics team based in Bristol.  This is an exciting opportunity to join UK’s leading Lighting and Sound Company and are looking for people who are passionate about what they do.

    The role holder will belong to a team consisting of a Supervisor, Team Leader and other Technicians who will collectively help transform and maintain the hire service into a unit of business excellence. 

    The team will ensure the companies contractual and other objectives are met in terms of productivity and quality assets.  The role holder will contribute to continual performance improvement. This is a key role in the hire business.

    Essential qualities and skills required for this role will be:

     

    Attention to detail
    Good communication skills
    Problem solving skills
    Basic IT knowledge
    Team player
    Able to remain calm and focussed under pressure when working towards deadlines

    Desirable experience and skills:

    Industry knowledge
    Picking experience
    Understanding of stock control importance

    A large part of this role will be to load and unload vehicles, therefore the ability to complete heavy manual handling within strict H&S guidelines will be essential.

    Location: London

    Due to the success of our rental business we are looking to increase our rental development team. This role requires someone with the ambition and passion to succeed in expanding our clientele particularly in the Theatrical and rental markets.
    The successful candidate will be part of the team responsible for growing the company’s rental customer portfolio.  The role holder will identify new commercially viable business opportunities and markets that match the key target areas assigned to you and develop the opportunities into secured revenue business, meet agreed sales monetary volume and gross profit targets and plan, create and deliver presentations on the benefits of the business to new clients.  You will need to possess a proven track record showing successful business development within the rental and theatre markets, have a genuine desire to succeed, be a strong negotiator with the ability to close the deal.

  • LIGHTING SPECIALIST, HIRE & EVENTS

    Location: Bristol

    We are looking to recruit a Lighting Specialist to join our busy Hire & Events team in Bristol.

    The position will demand a highly motivated, pro-active person with excellent organisational skills, a good communicator, the ability to demonstrable commercial awareness and have an overriding commitment to quality.

    To succeed in this role, you will need to work closely with Sales, Technical & Operational Function to ensure the timely, efficient, profitable and customer focused delivery of the order. A commercially minded problem solver with a strong can-do attitude, willing to take complete ownership of the role to ensure the delivery of customer excellence.

    The new role holder will ensure that all new and existing, internal and external customers are dealt with professionally and their requirements achieved profitably, efficiently and accurately, maximising all opportunities by cross-selling and up-selling our services and products with a positive “can do” attitude.  Delivering technical solutions and customer service excellence within the events industry, specifically the broadcast, experiential and corporate communications sector, is imperative.

    We are looking for a person with exceptional lighting experience, who has a confident and outgoing personality, who will enjoy interacting and building strong relationships with customers both internally and externally.  You must also have excellent written and verbal communication skills and enjoy meeting and speaking with new people.
