SLX is proud to partner with WalkTheWalk to support their flagship event, the MoonWalk. Each year, thousands of participants don creatively decorated bras and embark on an inspiring midnight walk across London and Edinburgh to raise funds and awareness for breast cancer causes.

Since 2022, we have provided end-to-end event infrastructure for this incredible challenge, transforming the experience with stunning visual elements, dynamic AV setups, and seamless logistics.

Delivering Impactful Event Experiences

We work closely with WalkTheWalk to design and deliver memorable moments, ensuring every participant feels motivated and celebrated. Our contributions include:

  • Iconic Installations: Illuminated egg and star arches, purple pea lights, and other bespoke features create magical photo opportunities and bring energy to the event.
  • Dynamic Main Stage: Equipped with an LED video wall, PA system, and enhanced lighting, the stage fosters a warm and engaging atmosphere throughout the night.
  • Expert Logistics: From CAD plans to on-site coordination, our team ensures the event runs smoothly from start to finish.

This collaborative approach extends to both MoonWalk London and MoonWalk in Edinburgh, where we adapt each event to its unique environment.

Advancing Sustainability

Aligned with our commitment to sustainable event practices, we have worked with WalkTheWalk to reduce the MoonWalk’s environmental footprint. In 2024, we achieved a 45% carbon footprint reduction compared to 2023, thanks to:

  • Hybrid Power Systems: These minimised generator fuel use by 25%, complemented by HVO (Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil) fuel in our delivery vehicles.
  • Electric Transport: Using electric site buggies reduced emissions and supported cleaner operations on-site.

While progress has been made, there’s more work to do. Together with WalkTheWalk and other event partners, we’re exploring opportunities to make areas like food, merchandise, and materials more sustainable in the future.
