Job Summary

In this role, you’ll be responsible for developing new business while nurturing and growing existing accounts. You’ll have the confidence to chase down leads and unlock repeat business. From initial client briefs to leading pitch processes (with the backing of our stellar Events team), you’ll take ownership and drive success.

The role holder will contribute to continual performance improvement.

This is a key role in the business. All activities will be supported and directed by our Sales Director.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop relationships with UK agencies, including event management companies, production houses, and experiential marketing agencies.
  • Act as the main point of contact for agency clients, understanding their needs, and providing tailored technical solutions for their events.
  • Conduct in-depth research to identify potential new clients and market trends, staying updated on industry developments and competitor activities.
  • Generate leads, cold call, and arrange meetings with potential clients to present SLX’s technical solutions, highlighting the benefits and value proposition.
  • Develop and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals, demonstrating the features and capabilities of our technical solutions.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms of agreement, ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes for SLX and the client.
  • Collaborate closely with the internal technical team to ensure seamless implementation and delivery of solutions, meeting client expectations and deadlines.
  • Continuously monitor client satisfaction, address any concerns or issues, and proactively seek opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and innovations in the events space, incorporating relevant knowledge into sales strategies and pitches.
  • Collaborate with the creative team to develop and execute promotional campaigns, attending industry trade shows and conferences to increase brand visibility.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Willingness to travel as required for client meetings and industry events.

What we require from you:

  • At least 5 years’ experience in account management within an agency or technical environment
  • Proven ability to develop and grow new accounts
  • Excellent client management skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Leadership and team management experience
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
