Our Approach
The Students’ Union were expecting around 10,000 students to attend their welcome week events, so we needed to find a base that could accommodate large amounts of people and host a wide range of exhibitors. We located a site on the Bristol Downs and created a complete infrastructure that provided a safe facility for students, who had missed out on their opportunity to get a proper welcome to their new university life, to meet their peers and engage in everything the University had to off.
The infrastructure that we supplied included fencing, trackway, toilets, signage, marquee’s, furniture, display boards, flags, technical production including hybrid generators comprising of HVO fuel powered generators and battery cells to run the event, water stations, all site safety (first aid and security stewarding), Wi-Fi, waste management and transport.
The Results
The Welcome Fair was a resounding success, achieving the highest attendance in the event’s history and setting a new benchmark for future fairs. This milestone highlighted the eagerness of students to reconnect and engage in campus life post-pandemic. Additionally, all exhibitors expressed their satisfaction with the infrastructure and services we provided, commending the seamless organisation and thoughtful attention to detail that ensured their needs were met. The combination of record turnout and glowing feedback from exhibitors reinforced the event’s impact and our ability to deliver a high-quality experience for all stakeholders involved.
