What have you gained from being a part of the SLX Lighting Programme?
Being part of The Lighting Programme has been incredible. The programme has expanded my experience and knowledge significantly. Through this programme, I’ve had the opportunity to connect with industry professionals and widened my network. It has exposed me to new perspectives and has opened my eyes to various career options I hadn’t considered before.
How do you feel the programme has helped your career?
The Lighting Programme has helped shape my career by showing me different paths and connecting me with new people and potential employers. It has expanded my horizons, introduced me to valuable insights, and opened doors to exciting opportunities for professional growth.
What challenges has the SLX Lighting Programme helped you overcome?
The Lighting Programme has eased my worries about working in different places after I graduate as it has exposed me to a range of work environments and helped me develop the flexibility and confidence to thrive in any professional setting.
Please could you summarise your overall experience of being a part of the 2022/23 Lighting Programme.
The Lighting Programme has been an amazing blend of fun and education. It has given me the opportunity to meet incredible people and create unforgettable memories with them. The programme has not only provided valuable knowledge but has been a very vibrant and engaging experience that has made learning very enjoyable.
What’s the most memorable part of the programme so far?
My favourite memory was when I came down to Bristol and we all went out to play some darts games. I was really bad at the games but it was a great night with some amazing people.

Fun fact you’ve learnt about the industry
A fun fact that I have learned is that Martin lights aren’t meant to have locks on them when they are in flight cases.
