It is with immense pleasure and pride to announce that we won the very first Green Award at TPi Awards on Monday 23rd May.

The gala event was attended by more than 1,200 people at London’s Battersea Evolution. The Green Award recognises our outstanding achievements and forward-thinking policies in the field of sustainability. These include the appointment of Phoebe Currie, our full-time Sustainability and Social Values Manager, and a commitment to reach Net Zero by 2030 under the Bristol One City Climate Change Ask.

To make the award even more poignant and special it was the first award of three that the compere took time to explain what the judges thought of our submission. “SLX demonstrated best practice and ambition to make a difference”. Chris Johnson, Operations Director for Shambala Festival and one of the judges, concluding that “if only all companies were as forward thinking and effective as our winner.”

The Green Award was accepted by Phoebe Currie, our Sustainability and Social Values Manager, who commented: “It was fantastic to see sustainability front and centre at the TPi Awards – it really shows a movement is taking place within our industry. I am thankful to work for a company that is so receptive to change and conscious of the climate change challenge.”

Alastair Currie, CEO, added: “Sustainability is a core pillar of the business here at SLX. It is deeply embedded into everything we do, and this is why sustainability was one of the key focuses of the rebrand which we launched earlier in 2022. Going forward, we will continue to invest in sustainable policies and technology.”
